SVEn Uria zeide tot David: De ark, en Israel, en Juda blijven in de tenten; en mijn heer Joab, en de knechten mijns heren zijn gelegerd op het open veld, en zou ik in mijn huis gaan, om te eten en te drinken, en bij mijn huisvrouw te liggen? [Zo waarachtig als] gij leeft en uw ziel leeft, indien ik deze zaak doen zal!
WLCוַיֹּ֨אמֶר אוּרִיָּ֜ה אֶל־דָּוִ֗ד הָ֠אָרֹון וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֨ל וִֽיהוּדָ֜ה יֹשְׁבִ֣ים בַּסֻּכֹּ֗ות וַאדֹנִ֨י יֹואָ֜ב וְעַבְדֵ֤י אֲדֹנִ֨י עַל־פְּנֵ֤י הַשָּׂדֶה֙ חֹנִ֔ים וַאֲנִ֞י אָבֹ֧וא אֶל־בֵּיתִ֛י לֶאֱכֹ֥ל וְלִשְׁתֹּ֖ות וְלִשְׁכַּ֣ב עִם־אִשְׁתִּ֑י חַיֶּ֙ךָ֙ וְחֵ֣י נַפְשֶׁ֔ךָ אִֽם־אֶעֱשֶׂ֖ה אֶת־הַדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּֽה׃

wayyō’mer ’ûrîyâ ’el-dāwiḏ hā’ārwōn wəyiśərā’ēl wîhûḏâ yōšəḇîm bassukwōṯ wa’ḏōnî ywō’āḇ wə‘aḇəḏê ’ăḏōnî ‘al-pənê haśśāḏeh ḥōnîm wa’ănî ’āḇwō’ ’el-bêṯî le’ĕḵōl wəlišətwōṯ wəlišəkaḇ ‘im-’išətî ḥayyeḵā wəḥê nafəšeḵā ’im-’e‘ĕśeh ’eṯ-hadāḇār hazzeh:


ACיא ויאמר אוריה אל דוד הארון וישראל ויהודה ישבים בסכות ואדני יואב ועבדי אדני על פני השדה חנים ואני אבוא אל ביתי לאכל ולשתות ולשכב עם אשתי חיך וחי נפשך אם אעשה את הדבר הזה
ASVAnd Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in booths; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open field; shall I then go into my house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.
BEAnd Uriah said to David, Israel and Judah with the ark are living in tents, and my lord Joab and the other servants of my lord are sleeping in the open field; and am I to go to my house and take food and drink, and go to bed with my wife? By the living Lord, and by the life of your soul, I will not do such a thing.

So wahr du lebst und deine Seele lebt, wenn ich dieses tue!
LSGUrie répondit à David: L'arche et Israël et Juda habitent sous des tentes, mon seigneur Joab et les serviteurs de mon seigneur campent en rase campagne, et moi j'entrerais dans ma maison pour manger et boire et pour coucher avec ma femme! Aussi vrai que tu es vivant et que ton âme est vivante, je ne ferai point cela.
